Heated Rivalry Season Two Will Start Filming ‘Soon’

by thenowvibe_admin

If fan fiction and parasocial relationships aren’t enough to hold you over in the absence of Heated Rivalry, I have some good news for you. Unlike most hit TV shows, the folks behind the world’s top gay hockey romance will not make you wait years between seasons. Connor Storrie, who plays Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov, confirmed as much during his multi-segment appearance on the Today show on Wednesday, telling host Craig Melvin that season two is very much underway.

Storrie told Melvin that while the show’s creator, Jacob Tierney, is still in the process of writing the second season, there is the semblance of a schedule. “I think, yeah, we’re going to be filming, I think, soon. I don’t know when exactly,” Storrie said. Sure, it’s not the most confident answer, but “soon” is better than “that’s a long way down the road” or “I’m not even thinking about that yet.” We have to take our wins where we can get them.

Melvin, a friend to Hollanov shippers everywhere, asked Storrie if “soon” meant this summer. Storrie confirmed that he thinks they’ll be filming “about then.” Admittedly, the actor sounded a little stressed about this line of questioning, so who knows if he actually has intel about the filming schedule or if he was just being a good sport. I’m choosing to believe it’s the former if only because that would put season two on track to once again air around the holiday season, a true gift to us all.
