Jennifer Lopez sure is having fun lately. Since finalizing her divorce a few months ago, she’s worn a lot of rhinestone bodysuits, engaged in a couple mid-performance makeouts, and announced a Las Vegas residency. And now, like most celebrities, she’s making the most of summer in Europe, where she’s been on tour.
On Friday, the singer celebrated her 56th birthday at a concert in Warsaw, where she joined the grand tradition of pop icons having onstage wardrobe malfunctions. In a video of the moment, J.Lo’s backup singers sing “Happy Birthday” to her as the star thanks the crowd … right as her glittery gold skirt breaks free and falls to the floor.
Like an absolute pro, Lopez laughs it off, strutting across the stage in the little gold briefs she has underneath. “I’m out here in my underwear!” she giggles. One of her dancers then tries to put it back on her, but J.Lo instead grabs the skirt and flings it into the crowd, telling the person who catches it they can keep it. “I’m glad that they reinforced that costume,” she tells the crowd. “And I’m glad I had underwear on. I don’t usually wear underwear.”
