Trevor Noah won’t be back to host the Grammys next year, so for his sixth and final time as MC, the comedian continued his run of delivering monologues while wandering around the crowd, gushing over the artists in attendance, and telling inoffensive, crowd-pleasing jokes. But the most memorable moment from his 2026 monologue was when he broke from his formula to rag on music’s newest conservative talking-head grifter. “Nicki Minaj is not here. She’s still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” Noah said to huge cheers from the audience before launching into his signature Trump impression. “Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest ass! Everybody’s saying it. I know they say it’s you, but it’s me.”

It was one of a couple political jokes the host made, including his opener, where he broke down the rules of the drinking game referenced in Bruno Mars and Rose’s nominated song “APT.” before saying it’s a lot more complicated than America’s drinking games: “In America, every time you turn on the news, you drink.” Elsewhere, Noah got laughs by asking Jelly Roll if he can unlock Teddy Swims’s phone and asking Pharrell for a Louis Vuitton discount code. It may not have been the most memorable monologue ever delivered at an awards show, but it was competent — a fitting end to his Grammys run overall.
