We knew he would

Of course Benson Boone did some acrobatics onstage. The announcement that his new album American Heart is dropping on June 20 was a surprise, though — as was the moment when he brought Queen’s Brian May out to cover “Bohemian Rhapsody” with him.

Putting the ‘Go’ in H-O-T-T-O-G-O

The Go-Go’s sang a mashup of their song “We Got the Beat” and Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go” at the Outdoor Theatre. Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong also joined members Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Jane Wiedlin, Kathy Valentine, and Gina Schock onstage for a performance of “Head Over Heels.”

Three 6 Mafia come with company

During the Memphis group’s set on the Sahara Stage, Three 6 Mafia brought out MGK, Travis Barker, Wiz Khalifa, and Project Pat as guests.

Juicy J confessed on stage that he had taken a Xanax before the performance and was feeling “loopy.” At one point, he gave white people permission to sing the N-word during a song, which appears to be a running bit of his; he’s done this before at other performances. Some people online were a little taken aback by the moment, however.

The YouTube livestreams are already going strong

And we’ve got a handy guide here for when and where to tune in. Ravyn Lenae is scheduled to grace the Mojave Stage’s YouTube stream at 8:40 p.m. ET, and we’re sticking by our claim that this festival will be one of your last chances to start listening to her before the bandwagon hits capacity.

Don’t have to ‘Guess’ what Billie Eilish and Charli are teasing

If this isn’t a sign that fans can expect a live performance of the “Guess” remix during Charli XCX’s set on Saturday, then that just seems a bit cruel.

Will it be worth the wait?

Starting on Thursday, festival attendees have been stuck in their cars awaiting entry, with some social media posts claiming that people have been in line for more than 12 hours with no access to porta-potties. Can Coachella make up for Carmageddon?
