It’s still “Apple” picking season for Charli xcx. Throughout her joint Sweat tour with Troye Sivan last year, people were chosen from the audience to perform Kelley Heyer’s TikTok-famous choreography to “Apple” on the big screen. The dance has remained popular since then — in fact, Heyer is currently suing Roblox over it — so it’s no surprise that Charli is continuing the tradition during every night of her ongoing Brat solo tour, which includes both arena dates and festivals like Coachella. Since we’ve seen this before, we kind of know what to expect now; sometimes the Apple dancer is someone who is famous, and sometimes it’s someone who becomes famous online for being a little too pushy (see: Minneapolis). Below, a collection of all the Apple dances coming before coming from the Brat tour so far, including a Brooklyn date where Clairo casually killed the dance in business-casual.
Manchester (11/27)
Multiple people tried to stick to the established Apple dance, but one opening-night diva in a green shirt abandoned the TikTok playbook and devolved into delightful shoulder shimmies instead.
London (11/28)
Say hello to our first famous Apple dancer of the Brat tour. Charli finally got her fiancé, George Daniel, to participate. The 1975 drummer was all smiles as he executed the choreo, putting extra oomph into slamming his hands down. Someone’s been practicing!
Birmingham (11/29)
Maybe the Birmingham crowd was just really living in the moment, because there aren’t too many videos of the screen during this stop’s Apple dance. But that’s okay, because that means we get to appreciate this wide shot that shows how committed everyone was dancing whether they were on camera or not. (See: the icon in the glasses on the right.)
Glasgow (12/2)
The Glasgow Apple dance got a little cheeky at the end, with the camera briefly capturing some upskirt footage.
Auckland (2/6)
This Apple dancer was really feeling the “drive” part of the dance, prompting Charli to chime in with some Auto-Tuned words of affirmation: “You slay! You served cunt, like your T-shirt says.”
Brisbane (2/8)
Since the camera was moving, an entire row of Apple Dancers was featured in Brisbane. The barricade blocked some people’s full range of motion, but everyone more than made up for it by singing, screaming, and (in at least one case) throwing both middle fingers up.
Sydney (2/9)
That’s manifestation. This Apple dancer gave an interview before the show about getting in line early out of a desire to “apple it up” with Charli. Lo and behold, it happened, complete with a smooth sunglass-slip at the end.
Melbourne (2/14)
Melbourne brought a little bit of chaos for Valentine’s Day. An Apple dancer was holding up a giant banner and making elbow room scarce, which the internet seemed to think was more bratty than brat.

Adelaide (2/15)
Charli introduced this Apple dancer by saying, “She’s got a ciggie behind her ear, she’s got black shades on, she’s that bitch!” And honestly, that about sums it up. No further notes needed.
Perth (2/16)
Charli got her employees to do the Apple dance for her in Perth, which also marked the last night of the Laneway Festival. “You guys better fucking know it,” she said. (Spoiler: they did!)
Mexico City (4/5)
It does seem harder to move around when there’s a barricade in the way, but this Apple dancer found a way to perform a slightly restrained version of the dance. With the fur coat, the sunglasses … we think it was still a vibe.
Monterrey (4/6)
Can we get some commotion for the brat hat? These Apple dancers did what needed to be done, and the one with red hair even solved the problem of not having a ton of arm space by simply extending a hand over a neighbor’s arm.
Indio (4/12)
At Coachella weekend one, Miss Should Be Headliner had several famous Apple girls in the audience: Alex Consani, Quen Blackwell, and Gabbriette. Kylie Jenner was there, too, and was actually filmed practicing the dance beforehand. But when the actual moment came, she must’ve felt a bit shy, because she stayed off to the side and let the trio next to her serve.
Indio (4/19)
Bowen Yang was the Apple dancer on the second weekend of Coachella, delivering the choreography with relaxed confidence. He was flanked by his Las Culturistas podcast co-host Matt Rogers and comedian Celeste Yim, who were wearing sunglasses and nodding with crossed arms, as if they were bodyguards protecting Yang’s impeccable vibes.
Austin (4/22)
Nobody pushed, nobody shoved, and everybody seemed happy afterward. We enjoyed seeing the Apple dancer with the bob getting into character for a couple seconds before the choreography began.
Austin (4/23)
We got both sunglasses and direct eye contact from this group at the second show in Austin. Charli was pleased with everyone’s effort, shouting, “We love you, babies! We fucking love you!”
Minneapolis (4/26)
Maybe the adults just got carried away by the punny potential of getting to be the Apple dancers in Minne-apple-is? In any case, it’s sad to see kids getting jostled like this.
Rosemont (4/28)
Charli explicitly warned this group of Apple dancers to keep it cute, but it still ended up kinda feeling like an orange vs. green battle for screentime. (If we had to pick, the floorwork and ’fits from Team Green won us over.)
Brooklyn (4/30)
Ella Snyder and Sophia Ziskin were tonight’s Apple dancers. Separated slightly from the crowd, they were safe from any sort of pushing; Ziskin even had enough elbow room to lift up her shirt while dancing.
Brooklyn (5/1)
No Clairo shade here: Clairo stepped directly into the spotlight with Blizzy Mcguire during the Brat tour’s second night in New York City.
