On Tuesday, former Try Guy Ned Fulmer — whom you may recall as the infamous “wife guy” who got excised from the group in 2022 after cheating on his wife, Ariel, with an employee — made his grand return to the public eye with a podcast launch. Shortly after implying in a People magazine interview that his marriage was “stronger than it was before,” Fulmer has revealed that, actually, he and his wife have been separated for years.
On Tuesday, hours after his interview with People dropped, TMZ reported that Ned and Ariel were separated. The two confirmed the news on Wednesday in the first episode of Ned’s podcast, Rock Bottom, which Ariel appeared on. Speaking about the state of their marriage, Ned acknowledged it was “complicated” but said they “really haven’t been” a couple since news of his infidelity came out. “We’re still friends, we have children together, we go on trips together … like, there’s a spectrum of being together or not together,” he said. “There’s moments when we kind of tried, but just because you go to a Taylor Swift concert together doesn’t mean that all is forgiven.” (Ned and Ariel were spotted at an L.A. Eras Tour show a year after the scandal broke.)

It definitely does not sound like all is forgiven. “People ask me, ‘Do you forgive Ned for what he did?’ And I mean, the answer is no, absolutely not,” Ariel said. “How can you forgive somebody for lying to you? For cheating on you? No. Fuck no.” Even so, she said “forgiveness isn’t the goal at this point” for her. “You are the father of my two beautiful children, and we know each other really well,” she said. “We’ve worked through a lot of stuff, and the fact that I can be around you and still have a good time and enjoy spending time with you and enjoy spending time with my kids, I think that’s a win.” Sounds like they’re following the Bennifer divorce model.
