You know who found the sash funny? Green Day. On Coachella Weekend 2, the band made fun of the faux feud between the veteran punkers and Charli XCX. It all started on Weekend 1, when Charli was spotted wearing a “Miss Should Be Headliner” sash at an afterparty. The actual headliners that night were Green Day, and their fans took the sash as shade (instead of what it was: a Leo being a Leo).
Clearly Green Day themselves weren’t too bothered. During their second headlining set, Billie Joe Armstrong borrowed someone’s Brat hat. Armostrong continued to be everywhere and be So Julia through the band’s performance of “Hitchin’ a Ride.” Drummer Tré Cool also sported a response sash, which read “Actual Headliner.” Charli retweeted it with the comment “obsessed.” So yes, Green Day and Charli worked it out on the remix.
