There’s something about the coziness of the holiday season that brings old flames back together, and this couldn’t be any truer of the former couple I refuse to let go of: Bennifer 2.0. After finalizing their divorce earlier this year, the exes can’t seem to get enough of each other — in the name of the children, that is. Last year, they popped up at back-to-school night to support their kids, and earlier this month, they hung out in a high-school auditorium to watch Affleck’s 16-year-old, Fin, and Lopez’s 17-year-old, Emme, test out their thespian skills. Now, Bennifer has united once more: Over the weekend, the co-parents met up for some last-minute holiday shopping at Los Angeles’s Brentwood Country Mart.
Per People, Lopez and Affleck arrived at the shopping center separately on Sunday, the latter with his 13-year-old son, Sam, in tow. A source told the outlet that the former couple proceeded to window-shop and chitchat. “They met up and went shopping together. Jen and Ben seemed fine,” the source said. “The focus was mostly on Sam.”

“He was excited and chatty. They shopped for gifts in several high-end stores,” they added. “Jen asked a lot of questions and picked up gifts for Ben’s kids.”
Well, that certainly seems amicable, but could it be … romantic? At the very least, the duo looked like they tried appearance-wise: Lopez wore a brown polka-dotted dress with a cream sweater, and Affleck wore a coordinating brown-and-cream look that included the coolest set of khakis I’ve ever seen. Maybe the matching ensembles were a coincidence, or maybe they’re still operating on the same wavelength, as exes often do, which leaves me wondering: Is Bennifer 3.0 on the horizon? Probably not, but a girl can dream. Here’s hoping for a Christmas miracle …
