Welcome to the first installment in the RobDaya movie trifecta. This one has a lot less sand. In the trailer for The Drama, a new movie from A24, Emma and Charlie (Zendaya and Robert Pattinson) meet with their wedding photographer, who’s fighting tooth and nail to try to get some chemistry between a couple about to get married. She then asks the duo what they love about each other, and in between scenes of flirting and romance, the two look at each other with sweat and horror. What are they? Can someone say it out loud? “Just some drama,” Charlie says, trying to brush it off.
Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, all we know is something unexpected happens during their wedding week and it’s too late to call the whole thing off. According to an ad disguised as an engagement announcement, it appears they may be in a bit of an age-gap relationship. Is that the drama? Joining Pattinson and Zendaya are Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, and Hailey Gates, who are also a part of the wedding festivities. The Drama rings into theaters on April 3, 2026, but both stars will also be in The Odyssey come July 17, and then, to wrap up the year, Dune: Part 3. Tom Holland upgraded to real husband; Robert Pattinson is her new work husband.
