It is so! During her headlining Lollapalooza set on Friday night, Olivia Rodrigo kept the rock surprise guest streak going by bringing out Weezer to sing “Say It Ain’t So” and “Buddy Holly” — and for some extremely online people in the crowd, they quickly realized they got weezered. Rodrigo prefaced the surprise by telling the crowd that the band coming out was her first concert ever. She began, “I remember my first concert. It was a very memorable night. I watched this incredible band and I am so over the moon because that incredible band is actually here tonight to play a few songs. Will you please say hello to Weezer?” Throughout her festival circuit, Rodrigo has brought out some fan favorites like Talking Heads’ David Byrne, The Cure’s Robert Smith, and Ed Sheeran’s Ed Sheeran. Rodrigo has one more festival set for the summer on Sunday at Osheaga Festival in Montreal, maybe this is where she brings out Arcade Fire.
