She’s reclaiming the color orange. Just twelve weeks after Taylor Swift bought back her masters, she’s already putting out her next album: The Life of a Showgirl. In the appropriate words of Jason Kelce… “ARGHHHH!!!!!” for two reasons: 1. Because it feels like just yesterday we were freaking out over The Tortured Poets Department Grammy announcement, 2. It’s a pre pre-order. What does that even mean? Basically you can pre-order the album but you have no idea when its coming out or what the album cover looks like. The product description reads: “Depiction of this product is a blurred digital rendering for pre pre-order purposes only. Actual product artwork and vinyl detailing will be announced at a future date.” The item promises to ship “before 10/13/2025” but that’s not the real release date. She’s a multihyphenate, don’t you remember? She’s not just a showgirl, she’s also a magician, making an album appear out of thin air.

It’s been quite a day. On Monday morning, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce teased a very special guest, aka Taylor Swift, who’ll be making her podcast debut on New Heights this Wednesday. Add in a commercial break filled with clowning and theories to the mix, and you get another surprise from Swift: an orange glittery countdown that ended at 12:12 ET with the new album reveal. Maybe she’ll have more details to dish on the New Heights episode — possibly an album cover reveal?
