It’s finally spring, the perfect time of year for sunbathing, gazing up at the cherry blossoms, and announcing you’re down bad for President Trump’s former daughter-in-law. After weeks of tabloid speculation, Tiger Woods hard-launched his relationship with Vanessa Trump, Don Jr.’s ex-wife. Alongside two photos of the fledgling couple posted to Instagram and X, Woods wrote of his beloved on Sunday: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!”
“We look forward to our journey through life together,” the golfer continued. “At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Wood’s announcement marks the first time we’ve heard directly from the couple amid widespread reports that they’re dating — and what a strange offering it is. If the photos are any indication, the couple’s “journey through life” has so far included strained body language and polo shirts aplenty. Also, presumably, lots of lounging: In the second image, Vanessa is nestled on top of Woods on a hammock while he stares, expressionless, directly into the sun. At least Vanessa’s former sister-in-law Ivanka Trump has given the couple her seal of approval, reportedly commenting on Woods’s post, “So happy for you both!”
Vanessa shares five children — including budding YouTuber and aspiring golfer Kai Trump — with Don Jr., while Woods shares two children with ex-wife Elin Nordegren. Pair that sporty brood with the larger Trump clan (and their exes) taking up residence in the White House, and this is begging to be made into a quirky family rom-com. While we steel ourselves for that, congratulations to the lovebirds. I guess we can expect to see a lot more of Tiger teeing up at Mar-a-Lago.
