Bella Hadid, the model and entrepreneur who’s always on a horse, met her rodeo-star boyfriend exactly the way you think she did: At a horse show. In a new interview with British Vogue, Hadid, who has spent the past few years leaning hard into equestrian life, shared that she first crossed paths with Adan Banuelos while getting fitted for a cowboy hat in Texas. Where else did you think she found the horse-cutting cowboy who stole her heart?
According to Hadid, she met Banuelos shortly after moving to Texas in 2023. Her mom and stepdad built a house there and suggested she join them while she was dealing with some health issues. Soon enough she was moving cows, going on trail rides, and giddying up all over the Lone Star State. “Then, the next day, I meet my boyfriend,” she said. Hadid was in the middle of getting a cowboy hat fitted at a local horse show when he walked in. Banuelos was apparently unaware that she was Bella Hadid, which sounds like a plot pulled straight from a BookTok romance. “It was like a gust of fresh air,” Hadid said. “I always wanted the cowboy. And he’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something.”

Now that they’re better acquainted, Hadid says “family is on my mind,” adding that she “can’t wait to be a mom.” But before they start their very own family of horse cutters, she says the couple’s biggest dream is to open up a summer camp for children. Do you think there will be horseback riding?
