It’s been a real up-and-downer for Bunnies this weekend. NJZ headlined Hong Kong’s ComplexCon, dropped a new single, then dipped. “Out of respect for the court’s decision, we’ve decided to pause all our activities for now,” the band said in an English-language statement obtained by Soompi. “This might be our last performance for a little while,” they said. “That doesn’t mean we’re going to give up… it’s just us taking a step back to pause.” NJZ has been battling their former (or possibly current, that’s for the courts to decide) label ADOR and its parent company HYBE since November 2024. It is a long and complicated beef, stemming from the ouster of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. Most recently, Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s injunction against New Jeans rebranding as NJZ. This injunction will hold until the court’s final ruling on who owns New Jeans. That trial is set to start April 3, so it could be a while before Hanni, Minji, Haerin, Danielle, and Hyein perform under any name. Until then, we still have “Pit Stop” fancams.
