Kneecap Cancels Sold-out U.S. Tour Due to Court Appearance

by thenowvibe_admin

Sorry to the Kneecappers? Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap won’t be touring the U.S. this fall. “Due to the proximity of our next court hearing in London to the first date of the tour, as the British government continues it’s witch-hunt, we will have to cancel all 15 U.S. tour dates in October,” the group wrote in a statement on Instagram on August 25. Their Canadian shows remain unchanged. Member Mo Chara was charged with a terror offense for allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag at a London concert in November 2024. The band firmly denies supporting Hamas or Hezbollah. The Metropolitan Police were reportedly made aware of the incident in April 2025 and Chara was formally charged on May 22, 2025. At the time, Kneecap, who denied the “offence,” said they “will vehemently defend” themselves in court. The group members have been vocal about their support for Palestine throughout festival performances and beyond for over a year, with the support of their audience. At the end of Kneecap’s Coachella set, fans started a “Free Palestine” chant.

It’s not all bad news. Kneecap promises U.S. fans a special announcement scheduled for next week, hinting that the surprise is still a way to connect with fans this October. Regarding the rescheduling of the shows, they hope to return to the States for “an even bigger tour” — the original shows were sold-out, after all.
