Cannes 2025: Palme d’Or and Closing Ceremony Winners List

by thenowvibe_admin

Leading up to Saturday night’s closing ceremony, all eyes are Neon as the film production company has previously won the last five Palme d’Or at Cannes. Neon has two films in the running for the award, Julia Ducournau’s Alpha and Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value; Ducournau had previously won for Titane, a Neon film, while Trier has competed twice before. With a reported 15-19 minute standing ovation (Deadline reported on the higher end) for Sentimental Value and 11.5 minutes for Alpha, it’s not farfetched to say that Neon has a good chance of taking the Palme d’Or home. The cinephiles love them some Neon!

As for already presented prizes, Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington both won honorary Palme d’Ors for their lifetime achievement in cinema history. Another guy was presented with an award in Cannes at a different event, but thankfully, that was completely unrelated to the formal festival.
