Bad Bunny is being sued by a woman who’s accused him of using her voice on two songs without her permission. On Monday, Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera filed a $16 million lawsuit in Puerto Rico against the artist as well as his producer and record label, per Rolling Stone.
Serrano alleged that a recording of her voice appears at the end of Bad Bunny’s 2018 song “Solo de Mí” as well as in “EoO” from his latest 2025 album, DeBÍ Tirar Más FOToS. Serrano claims in both songs it’s her voice delivering the line “Mira, puñeta, no me quiten el perreo,” which translates to “Look, damn it, don’t turn off my perreo.” (Perreo is a type of dance closely associated with reggaeton; per Pitchfork’s review of the album, the refrain loosely means “Don’t kill my vibe.”)
Serrano said she recorded the line in 2018 at the request of Bad Bunny’s producer, Roberto Rosado, better known as La Paciencia, while she and Rosado were in college together. She claims she did not authorize the use of the recording and never signed a contract for its commercial use. Her lawsuit alleges the use of her voice violates her privacy and publicity rights, and she’s seeking $16 million in damages.

This is not the first time Bad Bunny has gotten in legal trouble for using someone’s voice recording in his music — the lawsuit bears a strong resemblance to another one his ex-girlfriend Carliz De La Cruz Hernández filed in 2023, which remains ongoing. De La Cruz claimed he’d used her voice in two of his songs — 2016’s “Pa Ti” and 2022’s “Dos Mil 16” — without her permission. The attorneys who represented De La Cruz in her case are the same ones representing Serrano now, per Rolling Stone.
