Over the weekend, Trump’s Venezuela raid forced a handful of wealthy socialites to extend their Caribbean vacations while the FAA briefly restricted air travel in the area. But you know what’s worse than getting stuck in St. Bart’s with Southern Charm’s resident Peter Pan, Shep Rose? Getting out early only to find out you contracted a gnarly face infection. Such was the fortune of former RHONY star Bethenney Frankel. In a series of photos posted to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Frankel shared that while vacationing on the Caribbean island with her daughter, Bryn, she contracted an unspecified bacterial infection around New Year’s Eve. “My entire face broke out in a rash,” she wrote alongside pictures of said rash.
Frankel seemed to be in good spirits about her infection, which really just looked like a heightened case of hormonal acne. In spite of the mishap, and also “St. Barts being the Hunger Games of holiday socialization,” she seems to have enjoyed her trip. “I spent special time with friends and my love, Bryn, and rang in the New Year in a way that felt genuinely meaningful, surrounded by good people,” she said.

“This trip reminded me of something I’ve always known but sometimes forget: It’s not about what you’re doing, it’s about who you’re with,” Frankel added. At least she wasn’t with Richie Akiva at a “Fuck Me! We Can’t Fly” party.
