You know it’s serious when the Morrissey drama has to be deprioritized. Days before Johnny Marr is set to embark on a short tour throughout the East Coast, the musician is claiming UPS lost several of his guitars, which, according to his use of hashtags, includes at least one prized Fender and Gibson. We repeat — don’t think about the Smiths sale. Our man needs his instruments! “Dear UPS where are my guitars? They disappeared a week ago. I’m hearing from you now that they’ve been lost. Explain,” Marr wrote. “Asking me to describe what my guitars look like is not filling me with confidence. They look exactly like the ones you put in one of your a delivery vans days ago. Remember?” Adding a bit of color to the description, the G-major hater added, “Look for one that says ‘80’s Icon’ on the case and another one that says ‘Woke As Fuck’.” Here’s hoping Marr’s saga, which UPS is currently investigating, will have the same outcome as Nancy Wilson’s earlier this summer: Authorities were able to locate her custom Telecaster guitar after it was stolen from a concert venue.
