Prosecutor Catherine Baccas specified the charges are on “two counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault.” According to the Metropolitan Police, the allegations were made by one woman regarding incidents that took place in January 2023. In a statement shared with BBC News, the 27-year-old actor said he denied the charges made against him “entirely.” His court date is set for August 28 at the Thames Magistrates’ Court in London.

Ward gained notoriety in 2019, joining the Netflix British crime drama Top Boy as Jamie Tovell during its third season, as well as the musical film Blue Story as Marco. Most recently, he starred as the police-officer trainee Michael in Ari Aster’s Eddington.
