Photographers fear the next generation of pop superstars. Sabrina Carpenter noticed how demure the photographers on the Grammys red carpet were on Sunday and credited her friend Chappell Roan with that peace and quiet. “You guys are so quiet this year,” Carpenter noted while posing in her white lace dress. “Chappell really started a movement!” The crowd had a small applause break before they resumed their silence to take pictures of the six-time-nominated singer.

In 2024, Roan demanded an apology from a photographer for being “so rude” and “disrespectful” to her at a Grammys after-party. “You yelled at me at the Grammy party,” Roan said at the time. “Yes, I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me.” She’s spoken out against rude photographers before, like at the 2024 VMAs, so it seems like they have gotten the message.
