Bob the Drag Queen might be known for his impressive collection of wigs, but his natural hair is getting some love this week. On Tuesday, Bob posted that he was getting a hair transplant in Beverly Hills. The RuPaul’s Drag Race winner said he was “being vulnerable on main” in sharing the update, which included a couple angles of his natural hairline and some videos taken before the procedure.
“It is 6:14 in the morning. I am headed to Dr. Drummond’s office at the Crown Hair Institute in Beverly Hills,” Bob said in the first video. (He also tagged the clinic in his caption.) “My lovely partner has agreed to drive me to and fro, and I think I’m gonna be there for maybe 12 hours.” Bob described the procedure as a “hair transplant journey” that was made “easy and comfortable” by his doctors.

Bob also discussed his hair transplant on the latest episode of his podcast, Sibling Rivalry, which came out on Wednesday. (It seems like it was filmed pre-transplant.) When fellow drag queen Meatball asked if Bob was nervous about the surgery, Bob said that the actual procedure wasn’t his main concern. “I’m nervous about the results,” Bob said, adding, “I gotta be honest, I’m not great with aftercare … For three days I can’t do anything. I can’t even sneeze.”
Here’s hoping everything went according to plan and there has been no sneezing so far.
