Everyone’s eyes are on Bad Bunny right now. Tonight, he won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards, for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, making FOToS the first Spanish-language album in Grammys history to win its most coveted award. When presenter Harry Styles announced Benito’s win, Bunny took a moment to silently cry at his table before heading up to the stage for his second acceptance speech of the night. His big win comes just one week before his already-planned Super Bowl halftime show performance on February 8, where the entire country will watch him deliver his musical address to the nation.
Based on his speeches, it seems safe to expect that the halftime show performance will get political. In his first speech of the night, for his Best Música Urbana Album win, he directly addressed the terror ICE is wreaking on the streets in America, saying, “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we are humans, and we are Americans.” His Album of the Year speech, meanwhile, was largely delivered in Spanish. He thanked the Academy, his mother, and everybody who worked on the album. “I want to dedicate this award,” he added, “to all the people who had to leave their homeland to follow their dreams.”
