Move over Kylie Jenner, there’s a new self-made billionaire, and her name is Varang. Think of how many guns she can buy with that money! Avatar: Fire and Ash has officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office. $306 million of those dollars were domestic, and the remaining $777 (angel numbers) come from the international box office.
Fire and Ash is the third Disney movie to cross the $1 billion line in recent memory. In 2025, only the live-action Lilo & Stitch and Zootopia 2 could get over that hump. James Cameron’s opus needed a few days of 2026 to get there. Disney is the only studio to have a billion-plus movie since 2023. So that should make up for an Elio or two.
The third Avatar is earning at a slightly slower rate than its predecessors, but only slightly. Per Variety, Avatar joined the billionaires club after 17 days, and The Way of Water did so in just 14. Does this mean Fire and Ash won’t cross $2 billion? That’s still in the air, much like the mighty ikran.
