Taylor Swift Won’t Be Testifying After All

by thenowvibe_admin

Taylor Swift is officially excluded from this narrative. Justin Baldoni’s legal team has withdrawn the subpoena issued to Swift earlier this month, meaning she won’t be testifying in the upcoming trial between him and her longtime bestie Blake Lively. The decision comes just a week after Baldoni’s lawyer accused Lively of trying to blackmail Swift and of “witness tampering and evidence spoliation” after her lawyers attempted to quash the Swift subpoena.

“We supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel, and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process,” a spokesperson for Lively told People.

“The Baldoni and Wayfarer team have tried to put Taylor Swift, a woman who has been an inspiration for tens of millions across the globe, at the center of this case since day one,” the rep continued. “Exploiting Taylor Swift’s celebrity was the original plan in Melissa Nathan’s scenario planning document, and it continues to this day. Faced with having to justify themselves in federal court, they folded. At some point they will run out of distractions from the actual claims of sexual harassment and retaliation they are facing.”

Swift’s reps haven’t commented on the subpoena being dropped but previously said, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

Swift and Lively have not been seen together since October, and there has been speculation that the singer has been distancing herself from the ordeal. Lively and Baldoni aren’t heading to trial until March 2026, so we’ll have to see how this all plays out over the next year. While we wait, at least we’ve pretty much gotten confirmation that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is on its way.
