Because I am a sick woman, my first thought upon seeing that Nina Dobrev and Shaun White called off their engagement was, Who will get the Tellers? If you have a normal brain, you might not know that Dobrev and White were seemingly best couple friends with Miles and Keleigh Teller (whom you may remember as the woman standing next to Taylor Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl). They celebrated holidays together, went on trips together, and could often be found boating around Lake Tahoe together. Dobrev’s fellow CW alum Chace Crawford was also usually there. It looked fun! Now, after Dobrev and White’s split, it seems that the friends have taken a side, and they’ve chosen Dobrev.
Keleigh Teller confirmed this with an Instagram post on Thursday, in which the whole crew, White not included, are having an amazing time on a yacht in some fabulous foreign waters. All the usual suspects — the Tellers, Crawford, and Dobrev — are accounted for, plus a fun new member of the squad. A bleach-blonde Zac Efron, with whom Miles starred in 2014’s That Awkward Moment, got what I imagine was originally White’s spot on the yacht, and he’s fitting right in.

The gang is drinking Aperol spritzes, lounging in the ocean, and taking cute pictures. Everyone looks like they’re having a great time, especially Dobrev. Good for her. Less good for White, who has lost the one thing we are all looking for in this life: friends with a boat.
