Have you read enough about Sydney Sweeney this month? Too bad, there’s more. Fresh off a wave of heated political debate about her American Eagle jeans ad, apparently someone felt this was a good time to find out whether she’s dating Machine Gun Kelly.
This all started back in May, when Sweeney — who had recently called things off with her fiancé, Jonathan Davino — was seen hanging out with Kelly, who was going through a breakup of his own with Megan Fox. Per “Page Six,” the two were spotted at the opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas, where they apparently spent a lot of time chatting and shared at least one pretty flirty-looking hug. Later, Sweeney posted a pic to her Instagram Stories of her posing with Kelly and Patrick Schwarzenegger at the party.

To be fair, Sweeney has a tendency to start dating rumors anytime she hangs out with a famous straight man, so Kelly probably should have been prepared for the same treatment. During Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen episode, he was asked to address the speculation about Sweeney. While reading fan questions, Cohen asked Kelly, “Kyle P. wants to know if there’s any truth to the rumor you and Sydney Sweeney were more than just friends.” Kelly brushed off the question rather conspicuously. “Kyle P., shut up, dude,” he replied, smiling and shaking his head.

A non-answer? Certainly. But a denial it was not. Whether these two are (or were) dating remains unconfirmed, but it certainly was an eyebrow-raising way to not really dispel all those rumors. Here’s to yet another week of Sydney Sweeney discourse, I guess.
