Congratulations are in order for Charli XCX, who tied the knot with the 1975’s George Daniel on Saturday in an intimate ceremony at London’s Hackney Town Hall. Instead of her usual brat uniform — sunglasses, boots, hotpants — the bride opted for an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood mini dress. Looks like everything really is romantic.
The couple first met when they were working on the song “Spinning” in 2021 and have been engaged since November 2023, which Charli announced in a since-deleted Instagram post captioned “charli xcx and george daniel fucking for life!!!”. The musicians have collaborated a bunch since then, including on Charli’s most recent album, Brat.

Although a couple of members of the 1975 were in attendance, Daniel’s bandmate Matty Healy and his fiancé Gabbriette were reportedly elsewhere. I’m sure the couple sent along their well-wishes — and at least two cartons of cigarettes. I can’t wait to see where these two party animals go on their honeymoon. Maybe Ibiza?
