The legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively is still raging on, and Taylor Swift is, somehow, still at the center of it. On Tuesday, People reported that a man named Justin Lee Fisher was arrested last week outside Travis Kelce’s gated estate in Leawood, Kansas. The Leawood Police Department told local outlet KCTV5 that officers responded to reports of a trespasser near a gated community just after 2 a.m. on Monday, September 15. The 48-year-old process server was apparently attempting to serve Swift with deposition papers on behalf of Baldoni’s lawyers. Both Swift and Kelce were believed to be inside the home at the time of the arrest. Per KCTV5, Fisher was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing for “jumping the fence onto a private residence in a private neighborhood” and was released shortly after he posted bond. Fisher is expected to appear in the Leawood Municipal Court next month.
Baldoni’s lawyers have been trying — and mostly failing — to get Swift involved in this case for months, purportedly to prove their claims that Lively blackmailed Swift into showing support for her. They first subpoenaed Swift back in May in an attempt to compel her to testify in the March 2026 trial; his lawyers withdrew the subpoena a few weeks later.

In June, Baldoni’s team was granted access to text messages between once-close friends Lively and Swift, though only the messages that pertained to the production of It Ends With Us or the ongoing lawsuits between its stars. Earlier this month, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman had asked the U.S. district judge Lewis J. Liman for an extension to depose Swift, claiming the singer had agreed to appear. But an attorney for Swift, who is in the middle of promoting her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, wrote a separate letter to Judge Liman the same day, denying that Swift ever agreed to a deposition ahead of the March 2026 trial.
It’s unclear if Baldoni’s team will wrangle Swift into testifying, though they certainly seem dead set on doing so. Even if they can, the scheduling is going to be a total nightmare. Haven’t they heard Swift is planning the wedding of the century while aggressively publicizing her 12th studio album?
The Cut has reached out to local authorities as well as representatives for Swift and Baldoni and will update this post if we hear back.
