Dakota Johnson Has the Titular Role in Lily Allen’s ‘Madeline’

by thenowvibe_admin

Dakota Johnson has picked a side in the Lily Allen-David Harbour split. And it ain’t David Harbour. On Saturday Night Live, Allen performed “Madeline” — one of her dishiest songs on the very dishy breakup album West End Girl. And throughout the song, the titular Madeline kicked up her legs and seems blithely unaware of the havoc she’s causing Allen. The song is about the relationship Allen feels has been forced open, and the ways her boundaries continue to be crossed, a.k.a. her ex is sleeping with oomfs: “We had an arrangement / “Be discreet and don’t be blatant / There had to be payment / It had to be with strangers / But you’re not a stranger, Madeline.” In the song’s outro, Madeline tells her side of the story — that Allen’s ex said “he had your full consent,” and that she doesn’t fuck with liars. Johnson closes it with a “Love and Light, Madeline” before giving Allen a quick peck on the cheek. Lotta that going around last night on SNL.
