Singer D4vd is now a suspect in the investigation surrounding the death of teenage girl Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found decomposed and dismembered in the trunk of his abandoned Tesla on September 8, reports NBC Los Angeles. D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was initially not named a suspect in the ongoing investigation when the case first began. Now, an LAPD source has told the outlet that Burke has not been cooperating with police and that her death most likely occurred in the spring, with more than one person being involved. No arrests have been made, and there is still no official cause of death for the 15-year-old. Vulture has reached out to Burke’s attorney for comment.
Rivas was reported missing from her home in Lake Elsinore, California, last year, and her family said she had a boyfriend named David, with whom she had matching finger tattoos. She had run away from home several times before making contact in May 2024. Employees from a Hollywood Tow yard reported a foul odor coming from an abandoned Tesla to the police, who found Rivas’s dismembered and decomposed body in the front trunk of the car. Once it was known that the Tesla was registered to Burke, who was in the middle of his tour, he canceled all of his remaining shows.
