Cardi B’s going through a lot of changes, and thankfully, they’re all for the better. She’s in love, she won her civil suit, and her new album Am I the Drama? just dropped. It’s Cardi’s world, we’re just living in it! In her second music video for Drama this year, she reunites with her pal Kehlani for a much less anxiously attached song, where they celebrate being in a secure and healthy relationship — throughout the video, Cardi and her muse (Don Benjamin) experience the beautiful highs of being in love and starting a family until… she gets murdered?!
In a similar vein to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears” (besides just the murder parts), the duo just wants to feel safe with their partners. “’Cause when I’m with you, I just know I’m fine (Know I’m fine)/You take all the pressure off my mind (All the time)” Kehlani sings. “Patient and kind when I be going out my mind/Safe from the problems, I don’t worry ‘cause I’m hard to find.” Yesterday, Cardi confirmed her pregnancy with Stefon Diggs and how he comforts her and makes her feel, well, safe. “He makes me feel very confident,” she tells Gayle King. “And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
