For the better part of a decade, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been locked in an intensely messy divorce. In her initial 2016 filing, Jolie alleged that Pitt verbally and physically assaulted her and one of their children on a private plane ride to Nice — allegations he denies — and since then, they’ve duked it out over everything from custody arrangements to ownership of their French winery, Château Miraval. So, how does Pitt feel about finally settling the divorce in December? Like it wasn’t that big of a deal, apparently.
During a GQ interview published this week, Pitt was asked if he felt any relief on the other side of the divorce. “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing,” he said. “Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”

And … that’s it. The conversation quickly veered into more promotional territory, as Pitt discussed his relationship with girlfriend Ines de Ramon and how he deals with tabloids. The six children he shares with Jolie didn’t come up, aside from Pitt sharing that his life is “pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam.”
Jolie may not agree. In a statement released on the day the exes reached their settlement, her lawyers said that “this is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.” “Frankly,” her attorneys added, “Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
