If anybody was going to release an album with the word “bottom” in the title this Pride Month, it was going to be Frankie Grande. Grande, the world’s premiere singer-actor-dancer-reality-TV-star nepo sibling, is gearing up to release his debut album, Hotel Rock Bottom, and he’s getting it in right before the end of June. The album is filled with club tracks that Grande describes as “space dance pop rock,” telling ABC News on June 25 that he wanted the album to have “Epcot sounds.” “My whole childhood was Captain EO in Epcot, so I wanted those sounds to be included on the album,” he said. “There’s a lot of peeeww-thththth-wowowowowo-doodoodoodoodoodoo.” Yeah, gonna need to know everything about the gayest space-pop, dance-pop, rock-pop record of the year.
What is Hotel Rock Bottom?
Hotel Rock Bottom is going to be a club record but with a serious topic: sobriety. “The journey has been long, and the title track, ‘Hotel Rock Bottom,’ is about that moment when I made that decision,” Grande told ABC. “Am I gonna get sober and go to rehab? Or am I going to basically check out of life?” And, yes, the title is a double entendre. In an Interview magazine chat with his sister, Ariana Grande, Ariana recalled that “when someone was like, ‘It might not be gay enough,’” given its serious themes, “I was like, ‘It has the word bottom in it,’” she said.

Have there been any music videos?
A music video for Frankie Grande’s dance-y first single, “Rhythm of Love,” came out on May 13. Set in an old theater, the video is mostly just an excuse for Grande to show off his dance moves. And he goes hard.
The music video for “Boys” debuted on May 16 featuring drag queen Salina EsTitties and model Laith Ashley. The lyrics go “Boys, boys, boys, boys, boys / Take it off, take it off, take it off / Boys” while Grande dances in a steam room.
What are the songs?
Grande released the album’s track list on June 13. It includes the two singles, the title track, and 12 others songs with on-brand titles like “Messy,” “Sex Shop,” “I Feel Like Billy Idol,” and “Glitter Jesus.”

What about performances?
Grande went on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on June 24 and performed both “Boys” and “Hotel Rock Bottom” alongside a cavalcade of sexy male dancers atop a black wire bed. Then he threw his head back for a big note and executed intense choreo wearing a tiny black brief, chaps, a black leather vest, and a harness — one of skimpiest Tonight Show fits since Charli XCX sang “Good Ones” in a black leather set and promptly got the performance removed from YouTube. That’s gay rights … or maybe gay wrongs? It’s definitely gay.
When is it … coming out?
Hotel Rock Bottom comes out on June 27, 21 years after Frankie Grande did it.
