At the premiere of Victoria Beckham’s new Netflix documentary series, aptly titled Victoria Beckham, last night, one of the fashion designer’s children with husband David Beckham was noticeably absent. Brooklyn Beckham, who married Nicola Peltz back in 2022, did not attend the premiere amid rumors that he is now fully estranged from his family after several rounds of girlfriend drama. That’s right: Not only has his relationship with Peltz caused consternation within the family, his connections to the girlfriends of his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, have also led to familial discontent. What is going on with this family and their pesky girlfriends? Let’s review.
Brooklyn’s “ruined” wedding to Nicola
The drama behind the scenes of Brooklyn and Nicola’s $3.5 million Palm Beach wedding is still playing out in the tabloids over three years later. This event appears to have been the beginning of the end for Brooklyn and the rest of the family: According to sources who keep talking to People, Victoria “ruined” the wedding in multiple ways, including flaking on making Nicola’s wedding gown and inserting herself into the couple’s first dance.
People reported this summer that Marc Anthony was supposed to perform a romantic number for Brooklyn and Nicola during their wedding reception, but when he got onstage, he called up “the most beautiful woman in the room … Victoria Beckham” instead. Damn. “Nicola ran from the room crying,” a source revealed. “Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a preplanned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why.”

The Beckhams and the Peltz-Beckhams have been on the outs ever since. The Peltz-Beckhams even threw a wedding do-over vow-renewal party in August — that classic third-anniversary milestone — that the Beckhams did not attend.
Romeo’s unwelcome birthday-party guest
Hopes for a family reunion this summer were once again dashed when Brooklyn and Nicola declined to attend David’s 50th-birthday party in London. According to People, the couple wanted to be there but decided not to come after they found out Brooklyn’s brother Romeo was bringing a woman from Brooklyn’s past. Uh-oh.

“Brooklyn didn’t want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that,” a source told People in June. “But David opted to have Kim there over Nicola.” Another source added: “Brooklyn and Kim know each other from the past, and his family knows he’s not comfortable around her.”
It’s not clear what exactly happened between Brooklyn and Turnbull, but Brooklyn’s other brother, Cruz, told an Instagram commenter this summer that “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.” So you can see where he stands.
Romeo and Turnbull reportedly broke up shortly after the birthday party due to this “family drama.”
Cruz’s new “old” girlfriend
As Brooklyn and Nicola continue to be absent from family events, yet another girlfriend has stepped up to the plate to cause controversy. Cruz, 20, is now dating Jackie Apostel, a songwriter and influencer almost ten years his senior. (She turns 30 this month. This is just a fact!) After she attended Victoria’s fashion show with Cruz last week, an Instagram commenter asked why she was dating someone younger than her. “Because he’s kind, funny, smart, caring, driven, mature, talented, loyal, and also quite handsome,” she replied.

The age gap doesn’t seem to bother Cruz’s parents at least — Apostel was also present at Victoria’s premiere last night, and Victoria regularly leaves nice comments on her Instagram photos, like “U look so beautiful x kisses xxxx.” Nicola does not receive the same.
