She’s up to something, we just know it. Every Swiftie heard a ringing in their ears today when official fan page Taylor Nation shared a cryptic but not-so-cryptic post hinting at a new, orange-colored era for Taylor Swift. After taking a much-needed break from the Eras Tour and The Tortured Poets Department, Swift is heading to the New Heights podcast on August 13. But what could it be promoting? Especially since Swift dropped a glittery countdown on her website on Monday night. Either way, orange you glad Swift is back?
Is Taylor Swift going on Travis Kelce’s podcast?
Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, will be coming back from hiatus “early for a very special episode with a very special guest,” later confirmed to be Swift. “We’re about to do a fucking podcast,” Swift tells Kelce during the episode teaser. As far as we can tell, Swift has never been on a podcast before — especially not a football one hosted by her boyfriend and his brother. What hinted Swifties to Swift’s appearance was that background in the announcement post is also orange instead of yellow, and while the thumbnail is usually a screengrab from the podcast, Philadelphia eagle-eyed Swifties noticed that in addition to the suspiciously Swift-shaped silhouette, Jason is wearing an Eras Tour shirt.
So, what did Taylor Nation post?

Most Team Swift clues are straightforward. Swift usually saves numbers or literary hints for song lyrics. On Monday, August 11, Taylor Nation shared a carousel of 12 photos from the Eras Tour, and in every photo, Swift wore bright orange, a color she has not adopted for an album era yet, unless you count the rumored lost Karma album. The biggest clue, as always, is in the caption: “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era …’ ❤️🔥” New color? New era mention? At this point, it could be announcing anything, especially because this was posted 12 minutes after the New Heights hint. Republic Records, Swift’s label, also commented on the post, confirming suspicions that something is up.

Why is there a countdown on Taylor’s website?
Something’s happening! Everyone stay calm! Swift dropped an orange glittery countdown on her website, ending at 12:12 AM ET. So, grab a coffee or a diet coke, it’s gonna be a long night.
What are some other hints that we’re entering a new era of Swift?
There were a few signs that something orange was afoot, even if they might not have been intentional. To celebrate August, Taylor Nation posted a GIF of folklore with orange sparkles floating around Swift. Other hints, such as the initial announcement posted at 9:12 a.m. alludes to a potential 9/12 album drop. Blondie only needs one post to align her Instagram grid, but we’ve been tricked before.
