Taylor Swift is, once again, getting dragged back into the It Ends With Us legal drama. According to newly unsealed court documents obtained by People, she and Hugh Jackman were allegedly at Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ New York City penthouse on April 25, 2023 when Reynolds apparently confronted Justin Baldoni for “fat shaming” Lively. The alleged incident was revealed in a timeline of events relating to Lively and Baldoni’s dispute, which Jamey Heath – co-founder of Wayfarer, Baldoni’s production studio – reportedly sent to Baldoni’s publicist in a July 2024 email.
On the day of the confrontation, per People, Baldoni went to the couple’s apartment, where Reynolds allegedly “unloaded” on him about “how horrible it was” to ask a woman about her weight, apparently accusing him of “fat shaming Blake.” Baldoni was “completely embarrassed and apologized” and is said to have shed “some tears,” the documents reportedly state. Swift and Jackman “were also present” at the time of the confrontation, they state. (None of the mentioned parties immediately responded to a request for comment from The Cut.)

This is far from the first time Swift’s name has gotten wrapped up in the two actors’ legal battle. In May, Baldoni’s team subpoenaed Swift – which could have compelled her to testify in court – but they withdrew the subpoena soon after. He later won a bid to access Swift and Lively’s text messages relating to the case. In September, a man was arrested for trespassing outside Travis Kelce’s home while apparently attempting to serve Swift with deposition papers on behalf of Baldoni’s lawyers.
Earlier this month, Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively was thrown out, apparently after Baldoni’s team missed the deadline to file an amended complaint after the court dismissed the case in June. Lively’s lawsuit, on the other hand, remains ongoing, and is set to go to trial in March 2026.
