Although North West didn’t go to the Met Gala this year, she just took a birthday trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, with her friends and some cousins in tow. Per “Page Six,” the 12-year-old’s celebrations were held at a house on the beach complete with a pool, waterslide, volleyball net, inflatable swans, and a blow-up projector for movie nights.
The birthday party included a ride on a luxury yacht in the Pacific Ocean. As TMZ reported, Kim Kardashian was seen holding a fruity drink and a binder in her hand. Was she studying for the bar exam? Looking over a new Ryan Murphy script? Or maybe scanning the NDA for the Jeff Bezos–Lauren Sánchez wedding? Who’s to say?

Kardashian hasn’t shared any images from the Cabo trip on social media besides a quick story of an ocean view, but she did post a birthday tribute to North on Instagram. “My little baby North turns 12 years old today,” she wrote. “We were looking at pics today together and laughing so hard, you were so small. It’s been the most special calling being your mom. I love you forever and got you forever my bubs.”
