Here’s a theory: Rose Byrne wore green to the Golden Globes as a tribute to her husband Bobby Cannavale’s obligation to attend a reptile expo in New Jersey in lieu of going to the awards show with her. Okay, maybe that’s ample speculation, but it’s hard to look at Lucas Michael’s stunning portrait of her at the show and not think reptile convention. Pictures always tell a robust story at the Globes, one of the rare awards shows that seems more fun than it is stressful. We sent Michael back to this year’s “boozy Oscars” to snag portraits of the Golden Globe winners and their co-stars and loved ones. Bask in Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal’s Hamnet glow or the chic gratitude of Teyana Taylor before admiring Noah Wyle’s chocolate-colored suit one more time.
