What an interesting day to learn that longtime Elizabeth Taylor groupie Kim Kardashian is producing a docuseries chronicling the actress’s life. Per Variety, a Kardashian-produced project called Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar has been acquired by Fox Nation, Fox News’s streaming service. The three-part series is set to premiere on October 6 and heavily features Kardashian, who conducted the final interview with Taylor before her death in 2011.
“Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar delivers an intimate look inside the life of one of the most iconic women of the twentieth century, peeling back the glamour to uncover the force of nature behind the fame,” Fox Nation wrote in a description of the docuseries. “Each episode explores how Taylor shattered Hollywood’s glass ceiling, built a billion-dollar business empire, and transformed celebrity activism through her pioneering work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.”

Kardashian has been leaning Republican lately, but closing a deal with a Fox News–affiliated streamer is certainly something. Aside from that news, I must also call out that a certain Taylor Swift dropped a track titled “Elizabeth Taylor” on Friday as part of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which makes the timing of Kardashian’s deal going public seem a little … pointed. But that’s between Kim and Taylor. I’d much rather watch Swift tell Jimmy Fallon about her engagement ring Monday night than tune into a Fox Nation docuseries anyways.
