Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early on Monday for allegedly assaulting a rideshare driver. In a statement to The Cut, the Los Angeles Police Department said they responded to a call just after midnight reporting the alleged assault and determined the actor physically assaulted the driver and “made criminal threats toward the victim.” The driver did not require medical attention after the incident, police said.
Sutherland was booked into jail on felony charges, according to inmate records obtained by The Cut, and has since been released on $50,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on February 2. A spokesperson for the actor did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
