Kelly Clarkson Is Ending Her Talk Show

by thenowvibe_admin

On Monday, Kelly Clarkson announced that her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, is coming to a close after seven seasons. In a statement on her Instagram, Clarkson said she decided to end the show after this season in order to focus on her family. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” Clarkson wrote.

The announcement comes about six months after the death of Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shared two children. Blackstock died after a three-year battle with cancer. A few weeks before his death, Clarkson abruptly canceled the opening night of her Las Vegas residency; around the time he died, she announced she would postpone the residency altogether. (She has since scheduled new dates for this summer.)

In her announcement Monday, Clarkson said, “I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.” She reassured fans “this isn’t good-bye,” saying she still planned on “making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time.” “But for now,” she concluded, “I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
