A beef has ended. After Justin Bieber reportedly paid back a $31 million debt to Scooter Braun, Braun has some love to share publicly. Braun congratulated Bieber on the release of his seventh studio album and the first album without Braun. On Instagram Stories, Braun wrote: “This is, without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date. It’s beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matters.” He also mentioned their decades-long working relationship and how he’s grown so much since being the singing kid from YouTube. Brain continued, “I’ve had the privilege of witnessing his growth for almost two decades. Along every journey, there comes a time when an artist fully steps into their own-and that’s what he’s done here. He poured his soul into this project, and you can feel it in every single run.”

Braun and Bieber have had a rocky few years in their working relationship. In August 2023, Puck reported that Bieber was looking for a new management team and may have inadvertently led a mass exodus of musicians leaving Braun, like Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato. After canceling the Justice tour in 2022, Bieber owed AEG Touring over $26 million from his advance, as well as owing over $5 million to Braun in unpaid commissions. Both People and TMZ confirm that the debt has been paid off, so there’s no bad blood between the two music moguls. Just Swag.
