Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been having a rough go of it in recent weeks. Prince William is reportedly furious that Meghan used her “Her Royal Highness” title in private, Harry lost his yearslong legal battle for government-funded security in the U.K., and then he told the BBC that his dad isn’t even talking to him. What is the remedy for when you and your spouse are both going through it? A Beyoncé date night, of course.
On Friday night, Harry and Meghan ventured from Montecito to L.A. to take in the Cowboy Carter tour from a suite at SoFi Stadium. As it seems everyone does at a Beyoncé show, these two had the time of their lives. They danced, they smooched, and Harry got to take his Kemo Sabe cowboy hat for a spin. (If you click through Meghan’s carousel, you can see that he got it branded with a bunch of little icons, including American and U.K. flags and also the continent of Africa. Sure!)

It was such a fun night that Meghan even recapped it on Instagram, where she thanked Beyoncé and her team for “an amazing concert (and a very fun date night).” In case you forgot, there is actually a real relationship between Meghan and Beyoncé. Back in 2019, when the British tabloids were hurling racist attacks on Meghan, Beyoncé and Jay-Z accepted the Brit Award for Best International Group in front of a portrait of Meghan wearing a crown. “In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram at the time.

It’s nice to see that the respect is still mutual. A photo of Harry and Meghan even made it into Beyoncé’s recap of the night on her website, which fans know is a place of honor for only the flyest members of the Hive. And you know what? Good for them. These two needed a boost to buoy them until Meghan’s next jam drop.
