Nick Viall Wants to Remind You Age Is Just a Number

In the newest episode of kooky dating show concepts, I present to you the upcoming Netflix show Age of Attraction. The series, set to premiere on March 11, dropped its first trailer Thursday, and by the looks of it, it’s going to feature a lot of people trying to guess each other’s ages. The “new social experiment” is hosted by Bachelor alum Nick Viall and his wife Natalie Joy, a couple with an age gap of their own: Viall is 45, and Joy is 26.

Per the series synopsis, the cast features a group of singles between the ages of 22 and 59, but their age will be concealed from each other as they set out to “discover whether love is truly ageless.” “Age is thrown out the window when singles search for their soul mates, but will the years come between them?” Netflix is asking. My guess is probably yes.

The trailer features several nervous singles pondering how old their dates really are. “I don’t know if these guys are my age, my dad’s age, my grandpa’s age,” one young woman says. Another woman admits that she’d usually set up her much younger date with her 29-year-old daughter. “Everyone thinks I’m significantly older than I am,” her date reveals. “I think I’m gonna shock her. Get your seatbelt on.”

As Viall says in the trailer, “Here, age is just a number” — a slogan he seems to be living by. I hope everyone finds love, and that that one woman is ready to find out she’s dating a 22-year-old.
