The team behind A24’s Marty Supreme isn’t just good at making merch — they also apparently have a fantastic makeup department. During Tuesday’s episode of The Run-Through With Vogue podcast, Gwyneth Paltrow admitted she gave her co-star, Timothée Chalamet, some unsolicited beauty advice on set because she thought his character’s bumpy skin was all natural.
“In Marty Supreme, Timothée has pockmarks, and they made his eyes beady with contacts and glasses,” Paltrow shared. “And it’s all makeup.” You don’t say! Well, the queen of woo-woo wellness was fooled by the MUAs’ work. “I was like, ‘Oh, you can do microneedling for that,’ she said, recalling when she first saw Chalamet’s on-set skin. “And he’s like, ‘This is makeup.’ I was like, ‘Oh, shit.’ The makeup was so good that I thought he had little acne scars.”

Paltrow added that, in real life, Chalamet “has beautiful skin,” so we can all assume he already has microneedling worked into his beauty routine. Either that or he has early access to Skims Beauty.
