Gwyneth Paltrow, the self-appointed queen of over-the-top wellness, is apparently in the market to do some more partying. During Tuesday’s episode of the Goop Podcast, Paltrow had notorious party girl and pop star Charli XCX on the show to talk about songwriting, marriage, and, surprisingly for Gwyneth, late-night benders. Toward the end of the interview, Paltrow asked the Brat singer how she balances her wellness practices with “being up until four and partying at a house party.” But before Charli had a chance to answer, it seemed to dawn on Paltrow that she’d never actually gotten an opportunity to, as they say, party with Charli. “Why am I never invited to these famous house parties?” she asked.
“You’re always invited,” Charli said. “Open invite, babe.”

The 53-year-old acknowledged that a mid-week rager might interrupt her sacred sleep routine, which involves Paltrow getting into bed promptly at 9 p.m. “But … what time do they start?” she asked of Charli’s parties. “Probably after, when you’re in your deep cycle of sleep,” Charli said, laughing.

“Yeah, deep REM sleep,” Paltrow said. “Dammit. Well, maybe one night, I’ll have to. If you do it in England, I can be jet-lagged.”
After Charli promised Paltrow that she’s welcome to “pop up” anytime, the actress rounded out the interview by gifting her guest an “organic apple” she claimed to have picked from her tree that morning. Sounds like she’s gotten really good at what she once called “the balance between cigarettes and tofu.” So if you see Gwyneth raging behind the DJ booth at Boiler Room, don’t be alarmed — she’s just on London time.
