Do you have a podcast that’s struggling to find an audience? Well, here’s a free tip from me to you: You should probably have Taylor Swift on as a guest. It worked out really well for Travis and Jason Kelce, who had the singer on their New Heights podcast on Wednesday to discuss The Life of a Showgirl, her relationship with Travis, and her sourdough-bread hobby. Turns out people really love it when the most famous woman in the world talks openly about her life for two hours.
The Kelces, who reportedly signed a $100 million podcast deal last year, are making their business partners happy and finding an even bigger audience by welcoming Swift onto the pod. Variety reported that at the episode’s peak, 1.3 million viewers were watching the stream. 1.3? You mean basically 13? As Jason Kelce pointed out, that is “the epitome of numerology” and will certainly have the Swifties trying to figure out how it could be an Easter egg for the upcoming album.
Or it’s just that a lot of people wanted to tune in. Swift’s episode quickly earned a spot in the New Heights Hall of Fame, unseating Kylie Kelce’s episode as the most-viewed installment of the show. (Kylie’s has 8.6 million views after almost two years, a stat that Swift has destroyed in a handful of hours.) Kylie, however, does not seem too broken up about it.

“Officially no longer the record holder for the most-watched episode of the other podcast. There’s no way it’s even close, and I love that for me,” Kylie said on her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie, on Thursday. She recorded her episode earlier in the week, right after it was announced that Swift would be appearing on New Heights.
“It is very entertaining to watch the internet break,” Kylie said. “It’s just crumbling apart, and I love it. I love that a day before it releases, we know on Not Gonna Lie that my interview on the other podcast is going to lose its long-tenured reign as most-watched episode, and I welcome that wholeheartedly. Let’s drop that sucker all the way down.”
Should Kylie ever want to regain her spot at the top of the list, it wouldn’t be that hard. All she’d need to do is pitch a double-date podcast with all four of them, which would maybe be the most-watched podcast episode of all time. Let’s start arranging schedules now.
