On Wednesday night, the social landscape of Palm Beach shifted. The top dogs of the Florida community are usually the 70-year-old woman with the best pickleball skills and whichever former dentist has the largest retirement fund, but last night those two were dethroned by none other than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The couple were spotted getting dinner at Buccan, a restaurant in Palm Beach where you can get something called a “hot-dog panini,” among other, more normal-sounding things. While inside the restaurant, Swift and Kelce were photographed looking as though they were having an amazing conversation.

It doesn’t seem that their fellow diners were too put off by sharing space with the most famous couple in the world. In a TikTok comment, a woman named Pamela (a self-described “69-year-old Swiftie”) claimed that she sat next to Swift and Kelce and that they were “so lovely and in love.” And why would Pamela lie about that?
Now, you might be curious as to why these two are dining among some of our nation’s wealthiest retirees. Kelce is living down there for the summer while he trains for the upcoming NFL season. He reportedly rented a house in Boca Raton — I think because the humidity is good for athletes? Or maybe he just likes the vibe. The sun is out, you’re by the beach, and you’re never more than 30 minutes away from a hot-dog panini. Florida, as a wise woman once said, is one hell of a drug.
