Back in July, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted getting lunch in the Cleveland suburb of Chagrin Falls. At the time, it seemed the couple was simply enjoying a meal near Kelce’s hometown of Cleveland Heights, but it now appears they might have been in Ohio for reasons other than showing her his high-school football field. According to a local report, Swift and Kelce were in the Buckeye State looking to add to their real-estate portfolio.
Clevescene, an outlet covering all things Cleveland, reported on Tuesday that the couple spent some time looking at houses while they were in Ohio earlier this summer. The pair reportedly visited “at least two opulent homes currently for sale in Northeast Ohio’s tony eastside suburbs” during their trip.
If you’re a bitchy coastal elite like me, you’re probably wondering how much opulence there could possibly be in Northeast Ohio. Well, a brief Zillow scan reveals that you can drop a bag in Ohio if you really want to. There are plenty of McMansions, but there’s also this literal manor ($3.45 million) that looks like something straight out of the folklore universe. Or this $18 million estate that’s being touted as “the most iconic property in the Midwest.” I don’t really have an idea of what else could earn that title, so I’ll take them at their word.

As Clevescene points out, it’s possible that when you’re as wealthy as these two, going to look at real estate may be the equivalent of a normal person strolling through a mall. Yet the couple is apparently getting “serious” and “have talked about the future a lot,” according to People. So, Ohioans, don’t be shocked if you see a Haim sister at Aldi next Fourth of July.
